Not sure you have the same problem here??? I started to brush my daughter's teeth half a year ago when her mouth started to have some "bad smell" but I always have to struggle with her as she think the tooth brush is a toy for her to play and she also insist on brushing her teeth by herself!!! Another problem is she doesn't know how to rinse her mouth so I let her drink the water (boiled water instead of tap water) after she "brush" her teeth but after all the hard work her mouth still "stinko"!!! I dared not apply any toothpaste on it scared she swallow it

Hi workingmummy. Can use toothpaste~ We use the First Teeth toothpaste on our DD. This is flavoured (we bought the banana flavoured one) and is fully ingestible by babies, so no problem with her swallowing. In fact, DD enjoys brushing her teeth becos she gets to 'eat' the sweet toothpaste. but same problem with her wanting to grab the toothbrush and biting it rather than brushing.
