Have read about this Life Book thingie, which is basically a DIY compilation that adoptive parents can do up for their kid(s). The Life Book would contain the story of how the adoptive child came to join the family, and can be pictorial or text or mixed. Some sources strongly recommends doing this, and that the parents can use this like a bedtime story book that is read to the child again and again. The familiarity to the story thru constant exposure is said to facilitate the child coming to terms with his/her adoption status and also be a great aid in disclosure. Kinda make sense. But we have yet to start making ours. Have you??
